The paraprofessional assisted teachers in the classroom, supervise students outside of the classroom, and provide administrative support for teaching. This also consist of supplementing regular classroom curriculum with additional enrichment activities for students. .

Often, the paraprofessional worked directly with students, in which consisted of listening to students practice reading aloud, help students understand and complete their assignments, or assist students with special needs.
