LifeCenter Organ Donor Network is a non-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) based in Cincinnati, Ohio. LifeCenter Organ Donor Network began operating as an independent organ procurement organization in 1981. LifeCenter facilitates organ donation in the Greater Cincinnati Region, including Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern – more... Indiana.
Designated by the federal government to oversee the procurement of organ donation, LifeCenter works with 28 area hospitals to implement policies supporting the process of organ donation. Donation awareness and education is provided to healthcare professionals to assist in the donation process and to help them support family members faced with the death of a loved one.
LifeCenter is also responsible for increasing public awareness about organ donation for a population base of over 2 million people. LifeCenter's Public Education Department works to enable every individual to make an informed decision about donation. The organ donor registration process is simple - share your life, and share your decision with family and friends.
LifeCenter is approved for institutional membership with the United Network for Organ Sharing and follows all federal guidelines for organ sharing as outlined by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network.
