The person holding this position will assist the company's staff in factoring invoices and supporting tasks such as organizing online files, preparing spreadsheets, organizing communications and some filing of paperwork. The position reports to our Vice President Operations
We require at least 5 years experience in a financial services type organization other than a bank
or a savings and loan company. Some examples of experience we would value would be that of an administrative assistant in a financial services company, a legal secretary comfortable with working with numbers and similar positions, or a person with experience in bookkeeping.
The most qualified candidate will have good telephone skills, some experience in an organization selling to or serving small business owners, and be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft's Office Suite. Experience in updating websites using WordPress or similar would be a plus.
The position requires ability to work under time pressures and to accurately handle large amounts of numerical data. Higher mathematics training is not required but a "feel for numbers" and meticulous accuracy in working with numbers is a requirement for this position.
We require a 4 year college degree but it need not be in finance or accounting or related fields.
Because we are a financial company any applicant must agree to a 10 year background check.
