LISI Aerospace
Data Entry Technician (Former Employee) –  Torrance, CAJanuary 18, 2016
LISI Aerospace is a good company to start your career in, but do not plan on retiring there. There is hardly any room for advancement or raises, and if you do get a raise it will not be that big. The only advantage of working for LISI Aerospace is the name - it will look good on your resume when you apply somewhere else!
Pros
Job culture and work / life balance
Cons
Hardly any or no room for advancement or raises

Centerless Grinder Operator (Former Employee) –  Torrance, CAOctober 27, 2015
This was a very dangerous job...you had to constantly put your hands into a running machine that grinds threads into steel or titanium rivets, The smaller the rivet...the more danger there was of crushing your fingers.....I needed a job and the only position was second shift....that disrupted things at home...worked there for 1 year then got laid off

Manufacturing Engineer (Current Employee) –  Industry, CAMarch 18, 2014
As of writing this, I've been with the company for 5 years, including the year as an intern. It's been oddly satisfying working here. Day to day work is heavily oriented to production. Quality of products can suffer at times, but the job gets done. Very experienced and knowledgeable personnel and management. Factory manager has over 25 years of experience at factory.
Pros
benefits, profitable
Cons
workload, manager's people skills

Production Planner II (Current Employee) –  Torrance, CADecember 28, 2013
Start of work is checking, monitoring the status of the released Mfg Order. Reviewing the MRP and action messages.

I have learned to be more consistent and more technically knowledgeable about the manufacturing environment.

Management is not so encouraging and motivating. Fear is always instilled in our mind to achieve our goals.

My co workers are team players and finds coordination and communication an important tool to maintain the flow of efficient production.

The hardest part of the job is understanding the product features and how it is being manufactured in line with the planning function.

The most enjoyable part is attaining your objective and being tap on your shoulder for a job well done.
Pros
holiday gifts and the equivalent vacation leave.
Cons
poor management environment in terms of style and dealing with employees.
