We are searching for an Office Admin or Manager, Insurance Coding and Billing Specialist. We are only interviewing candidates with 3+ years experience working as an admin or office manager for a psychologist(s) in private practice and/or who worked for a behavioral or mental health insurance company as a care worker, specialist, provider rep, etc. The position leads to Office Manager or to a staff position in counseling or coaching, but we will not accept resumes from candidates who do not have the experience required.
Responsibilities include scheduling, intake, insurance verification, coding and insurance billing. They do not involve telephone reception or patient billing tasks, but do include maintaining patient accounts in our practice management system, so some accounting or bookkeeping experience is desirable. We have a private practice and we see eight to ten patients a day. Adults only -- no children or adolescents-- and no patients with serious mental illness. Individuals only -- no couples.
Your position would include working along with the rest of the staff to promote our practice at our seminars, workshops and health fairs, and at the offices of medical doctors who refer patients to us.
We have a well-established, fast growing practice in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology located in Dallas near Walnut Hill and Central Expy. Our practice includes Stuart N. Robinson, Ph.D., a senior-level, licensed psychologist with over 35 yrs of experience. He specializes in treating adults with Asperger's, ADD/ADHD, Learning Disorders and Anxiety. Our second professional staff member is Ms. Misty Hardin. Misty graduated in 2010 with a masters in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience. She specializes in time management, organization, social skills, job searching and interviewing, assertiveness training, cognitive training and executive function.
We have eight other professionals who serve as associates, who work on an as-needed basis. After we fill the Admin/Insurance Specialist position, we will hire another senior-level psychologist, a language therapist, an occupational therapist, a clinical social worker, and a group therapist.
Your pay is negotiable. If selected, we intend to pay your more than your current salary. We provide paid opportunities for continuing your education and for moving your career into counseling. We do not offer medical benefits at this time, but will establish health insurance after we hire enough staff to participate in a group policy. We do have a number of other benefits at this time that are not typical to other organizations, like regular hours, no overtime, generous paid vacation, sick days and unpaid days off, and more.
