Updated Senior Class on various workshops, graduation requirement deadlines
Senior Class V.P of Student Gov't Association (Former Employee), Salisbury, NCJanuary 16, 2015
Pros: student leader, getting to meet with successful people
Cons: n/a
The president, myself, and the executive secretary met up once to twice a week. Had discussions on upcoming events that will benefit the senior class upon graduating, resume building, and possible job opportunities. At times, communication amongst each other was not always the best but things seem to work out at the end. The hardest part of the job was to get most of the senior class students to attend the mandatory meetings that were informative to them graduating. The most enjoyable part of the job was being recognized as one of the student leaders at the college as well as a scholar.

SECURITY OFFICER (Former Employee), Salisbury, NCJanuary 15, 2015
I was really excited to work for Livingstone College. After working there for a while it has been determined that it is a very unorganized place to work which made it hard for me due to me being a single mom.

Director of Safety Compliance (Current Employee), Salisbury, NCSeptember 30, 2014
Pros: able to be creative and improve the environment
Cons: safety is not always appreciated at the level tht it should be
A typical day at work involves self motivated interest in the safety of the campus. Self management of time and scheduling. I enjoy the challenge of sharing the importance of safe work environments and teaching the "why we do what we do" to the staff, faculty, and students on campus. I enjoy the building relationships with the fire departments and other city officials.

Chair of Sciences (Former Employee), Salisbury, NCJuly 11, 2014
Pros: teaching
Cons: non research
If you are interested in teaching only at a second chance institution, briefly, Livingstone College is the institution that will offer that experience. Before applying, ask anyone in the surrounding area about the institution, in order to make a sound decision before accepting any job offer at Livingstone College.

Admissions-Office Manager (Former Employee), Salisbury, NCJune 26, 2014
Pros: you could eat from the cafeteria on the campus
Cons: short breaks
A typical day at work consist of answering the phone. Helping students to get enrolled in school. Placing work orders, travel and material needed in the office. Data entry of students in the system and keeping records of the application payments and or tuition payments. Prepare cash receipts for the cashier office. Heavy filing and sorting. Stuffing envelopes and recruiting packages for new students. Co-works were easy to work with because they had a good sense of humor. The hardest part of the job was that it was demanding and left room for nothing else. The most enjoyable part of the job was at the end of the day when work is done and it is time to leave for the day.
