The Professional Services Division of Compuware was sold to Marlin Equity Partners in 2014 and renamed Lochbridge. Executive leadership rewards relationships without regard to results. A top performer in sales or delivery with proven results can be overtaken (promoted, rewarded, etc) by anyone with close friendships or personal history with "executives." Compuware (Lochbridge) executives are comparable to middle managers in most fortune 500 companies. For the most part they are short sighted, and in the words of Compuware founder, Peter Karmanos, "have their heads up their...." Need metrics? I led teams which contributed more than $15M over two years, and the person they replaced me with has done $0.00 in 10 months! He'd better have a heck of second year, or there's no way he'll repeat my success. But, it doesn't really matter because he has a personal relationship with the Canadian exec who was moved into the position by a Senior VP matching the description given by the company founder, Karmanos. PS: they pay people as if they want to dis-empower them, rather than paying them competitively to retain them as they might have in the Karmanos days. This is not your fathers Compuware.
