Work with a team of 12 personnel providing flight support; interpretation of surveillance systems products; O&M on aerostat avionics, acoustic sensors, ground sensors; operation of EO/IR sensor payloads, radar systems, military and telemetry radios. Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment; as well as monitoring the “State of Health” of the network system / application and hardware integration onboard the aerostats and mooring systems in support of the
Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS) program in Afghanistan. Receiving post production engineering field mods and installing or integrating modified components based on customer specifications.
Job Performance Duties: Troubleshoot and repaired technical issues dealing with various components such as video distribution systems, ECU air conditioning systems, UPS systems, navigation systems, VSAT system setup and operation, avionics systems, fiber optic transmission systems (analysis, splicing and termination), electrical and serial data cable terminations, photographic/image interpretation, and overseeing the layout of Military Site Force Protection and proper layout our Tactical Operation Center (TOC/NOC).
