Production Coordinator (Current Employee), New York, NY – February 13, 2014
Pros: they pay $13.50 for our lunch everyday on seamless.com.
Cons: long hours, short tempered boss, and the rapid pace makes it difficult to learn.
In a typical day of work, I manage our inventory across multiple locations in our inventory system. I assist in organizing our direct mail campaigns. I send out reports for our mailings. Coordinate with our letter shops and print vendors. I organize and check our seeds and samples. I work with the creative team to build our direct mail packages.
I – more... have learned about direct mail. Learned to use the inFlow inventory management system, Tableau and Microsoft Office.
The management expects everything to be done quickly. We mail 3 to 4 million pieces every month in my department therefore everything must be done at a hastened pace. My boss is short tempered. She takes long with approving things and answering emails.
My co-workers are generally nice.
The hardest part of the job is working on the rushed schedules and managing our inventory across multiple locations. Working the long hours is also difficult because it consumes my life. The hastened pace makes it difficult to learn.
The most enjoyable part of the job is working on the creative for our packages. – less
