Great atmosphere, Good customers, Great Location. Wonderful Management
Hostess (Current Employee), Baton Rouge, LAOctober 18, 2014
Pros: discount on food while you are on clock for your lunch.
Cons: not enough work hours. need better schedule to accomodate school.
I love my job. Just not enough hours. I am only scheduled approx. 10-15 hour per week. Also I get out of school each day at 12. So I am available to work as soon as 1pm. However, most time I am scheduled for evening shift until 11pm. I don't mind working nights. I just would prefer that it would be more hours at night; if I am scheduled for nights. – more... I do prefer working 1pm until early evening; to allow me time to study for my Senior Year.
My management is awesome. They expect you to come to work and do your job. As long as you do it. No problems. My coworkers are quirky and friendly. Good people to work with. – less

A typical day at work would be greeting guests, seating them at a table along server rotation. Maintaining the front entrance area.

Fun fast paced job with friendly people
Busser/Stocker (Former Employee), Bakersfield, CAOctober 1, 2014
Pros: discounted meals
Cons: difficult customers at times
A typical day at Logan's included, cooking bread, providing refills, removing empty plates, and assisting waiters with any needs, I learned valuable time management and improved my customer service skills. Management was friendly and hard working, co-workers were easy to get along with. Hardest part of the job was keeping up with parties of 200+ people – more... at one time, the most enjoyable part was interacting with coworkers and customers. – less

Busy workplace but an extremely fun place to be at.
Server/ Hostess (Current Employee), Weatherford, TXOctober 1, 2014
Pros: 50% off some menu items.
Cons: i didn't get enough hours, and i never had an actual break.
A typical day at work as a hostess would consist of holding the door open for our guests, assisting them to their tables, sanitizing dirty tables, and to keep the restaurant clean, and looking nice. As a server, a day at work consists of greeting out tables within 30 seconds, bringing them their drinks and food, putting in their order, making sure they – more... have refills on soft drinks, alcohol, and bread, and making sure their meal is presentable and that their steaks are cooked how they like.
I've learned how to work with some people who are just constantly unhappy with their meals. Overall I've learned how to serve tables, and how to manage stress and running around constantly, and how to really get out of my comfort zone and joke around with people. The management, and the co-workers are great people. I have never worked with a person I had problems with, and I have never had any sort of drama at work with them. They're all fun individuals that are all awesome to be around and they're all hard workers.
I'd have to say the hardest part of my job was having multiple tables all at once, and it being incredibly busy so everyone was swarming around like bees in a hive. You learn how to stop pretty quick though and move off to the side when other servers are coming by with their tables food. But it stopped becoming as challenging after the first few times when I knew what to mostly expect. The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely being able to talk with my tables and having all the people come in. I enjoy hearing about everyone's day, and whatever stories they have to offer me because it just makes my day a lot more interesting and exciting. – less

Line Cook/Prep Cook (Former Employee), Barboursville, WVSeptember 30, 2014
Pros: close to home and shifts that worked well with the time i need to be home.
Cons: no health benifits
I enjoyed working at Logan's, my co workers were easy to get along with and we worked well together.
I would come into work earl to know what was need to be done that done that day.
I cooked, prepped and cleaned the kitchen.
The hardest part of the job is you have to be fast pace, which I can do with ease.

Server (Former Employee), Goldsboro, NCSeptember 29, 2014
I enjoyed working here, for the most part. Friendly co-workers and mostly friendly management. I learned a lot of how to handle angry or disgruntled customers. Every day was basically the same(in a good way). Schedules were structured, you knew what needed to be done and how it needed to be done. Which was the best and yet hardest part of working there. – more... You worked on a time line but, you worked as a team. – less

The hardest part of my job is trying to please everyone, like for instance, if you don't have a booth open and everyone is wanting a booth ,but they don't want to wait on one. The management is amazing. I love all my managers!! Some of my co-workers can be hard to be around sometimes, but everyone has their bad days. The majority of the time I have – more... fun and love my co workers. – less

Server/Bartender (Former Employee), Fredericksburg, VASeptember 25, 2014
Pros: got to talk to many different people and made great tips.
Cons: the hours were until late at night, which was difficult with a baby at home. no room for advancement.
I advanced to the busy section and the bar quicky, because I worked hard and worked well with guests. I made good tips and had a lot of repeat guests. I had to multi-task, which I enjoyed, since I like keeping busy.

Server (Former Employee), Fort Wayne, INSeptember 22, 2014
Pros: always hours available to work
Cons: relying on the generosity of strangers to support your family
The professionalism of the management could use alot of work but i did not have many issues with them. I absolutely enjoyed working for this company! you could have as many hours as you could handle in the winter but summers were very difficult to depend on. it was great being able to have the opportunity to get to know the customers and make sure they – more... had a great experience. – less

Sever/waitress (Current Employee), Nashville, TNSeptember 17, 2014
Working at Logan's Roadhouse on a daily bases is great. On a typical day at work I would come in start on my running side work before the host would seat one of my tables. When it was my turn to get a table, I would greet my guest, get their drink order and maybe an appetizer. Then I would come back get their food order and make sure everything is going – more... great. After their food has came to the table I would make sure their dinner came to the table just how they wanted it. Seeing that they are done eating ask i would ask the guest if they wanted desert and if not i would give them check and wait for them to pay and leave. Working a Logan's Roadhouse has taught me how to be patient with other and to how to become a better person. – less
