  • Four (4) year degree, advanced degree preferred
  • 10 – 12 years of relevant systems engineering & architecture experience
  • Strongly Preferred certified HP-UX Professional – CSA/CSE
  • Knowledge of TOGAF, ITIL and SOA standards and frameworks
  • Performance Management and Capacity Planning
  • Messaging Software and Interoperability Techniques and Standards
  • Knowledge of Web & Server Technologies
  • Knowledge of Network Design and Protocol
  • Applied E-Business enabling technologies
  • Performed hands-on experience on Storage Area Networks
  • Applied support and implementation of Directory Services (LDAP, Kerberos, AD)
  • Solid understanding of Network Engineering (Switching, Routing, Content Management)
  • Understands Information Technology Hardware specifically HP Bladesystem and SuperDome
  • Ability to create Data Center Designs and perform consolidations for HP-UX subsystems

Possesses wide base of experience in many disciplines of information technology including:

  • HP-UX, Scripting: C, Perl, Shell
  • HP-UX Problem determination (eg. Using dumps, traces, traps)
  • Determine and document requirements for hardware and software procurement
  • Monitor and maintain software and hardware for optimal performance
  • Ability to perform maintenance activities, including systems backups and restore data
  • Create patch maintenance policies for HP-UX server applications and operating systems
  • Ability to Plan installation, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades
  • Understand and apply UNIX / UNIX Utilities
  • SAN multipathing, port aggregation and optimization
  • Work closely with server administration/backup operations staff
