LMS (www.lmslogistics.com), an intermodal and freight brokerage company, seeks a Sales Associate who will report directly to the company president and be responsible for all sales activities - from lead generation to close - in an assigned territory. He or she will work with sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term goals that align with company objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in conjunction with the company president to develop an annual business plan that focuses on meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Acquiring a complete understanding of pricing and proposal models
  • Selling consultatively and making solution recommendations to prospects or clients
  • Developing a baseline of qualified leads through referrals, face-to-face meetings, e-mail, and networking efforts
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
  • Maintaining client contact to ensure a high level of client satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate effective selling skills, as well as industry and product knowledge
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in highway/less-than-truckload (LTL) and intermodal transportation
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and other software solutions
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
