Lombardi gave its employees a lot of flexibility on how they did their jobs, but expected that they work hard to solve their own challenges. I learned a great deal of independence and to be a self starter, and also to appreciate those employers who are willing to trust their employees.

The management was pragmatic and encouraging, focusing on building – more...  a strong community between their employees in Austin and those consultants traveling around the world. Co-workers were enthusiastic about taking on extra projects and helping each other when tough problems arose. People were blunt with their criticism and bold with their ideas.

The most challenging part of the job was learning how to fit into a company with so many large egos. The most enjoyable part of the job was always feeling that your management and co-workers had your back. – less
