Business Analyst - HCM (#9545) UP
Performs comparative analysis of assigned function, current procedures, and PeopleSoft best practices; refines functional requirements to include prioritization, elimination and consolidation.
Provides subject matter expertise for successful ongoing production support, enhancements and/or upgrades.
Participates in PeopleSoft assigned functional training in order to assist in the integration and implementation processes.
Reviews Human Resources business processes and compares with PeopleSoft system to determine functionality gaps and works with designated Lone Star College System personnel to identify appropriate changes in the business processes and/or required software modifications.
Confers with technical analysts, programmers, and database analysts to run tests and ensures business processes are working correctly.
Conducts or facilitates testing for quality assurance purposes; develops appropriate testing cases necessary to perform validation testing on all required bundles, modifications, customizations, fixes, interface, and patches and participates in testing PeopleSoft updates/bundles/fixes/patches.
Creates, exports, and filters information to make it user-friendly using the PeopleSoft Query tool.
Analyzes and evaluates assigned function's processes and new requirements to develop and integrate new solutions within PeopleSoft.
Documents requirements for internal and external interfaces, reports, workflow, and security access that support human resources business processes and staff.
Identifies, documents, and escalates risks and issues.
Manages expectations, timelines and deliverables; adheres to project protocols and guidelines, reporting to the project manager.
Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 3 years of related work experience; will consider equivalent combination of education and directly related work experience.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
