Long View Systems is an awesome IT consulting firm
LEAD SYSTEMS CONSULTANT (Former Employee), Parachute, COOctober 10, 2013
Pros: a serious commitment to career/life balance and training
Cons: they don't have consulting arrangements with any businesses where i currently have to reside.
Long View Systems employs some of the most gifted IT personnel in the country. From Help Desk to Cloud, they have all the potential bases covered. It was a pleasure working for them. I look forward to a continued relationship with the people there.

Great place that really cares about it's people
Client Services Manager (Former Employee), Denver, COJune 30, 2013
Pros: free lunches, career advancement, cutting edge technology, training, people
Cons: compensation packages can be lower than industry average
Long View Systems focuses on it's people. The CEO had a vision of creating a company that would provide career advancement without eliminating an employee's home life and he achieved it. The people that are recruited have a special type of connection to one another because everyone gets along well. The culture is thick with the established core pillars – more... of integrity, competence, value and fun. This is hands down the best place that I have worked for! – less

Houston branch was once a great place to work.
Systems Consultant (Former Employee), Houston, TexasApril 3, 2013
Pros: free lunches and decent pay.
Cons: middle management and career life program
The Houston branch was a great place to work at, until they replaced him with a new branch manager. Executive management really needs to re-evaluate their decision on this branch manager.

Practice managers (CSM) need to attend management courses on how to treat their employees and how to be better managers.

Accounts managers need to take the time – more... to learn the products they are selling and make sure they have the staff to support the technologies.

Career life program (CLP) is pretty much a waste of time as they don't move you up until they have a need or a client requirement. Raises are very seldom and if they are they are not that great. – less

Getting there.
IS Service Delivery Analyst (Former Employee), Houston, TXAugust 22, 2012
Pros: environment.
Cons: compensation.
This is a canadian based referral agency. They charge big companies fees for their services and in return offer these same big companies an attractive contract agreeable to parties "A" and "B". "C", being the individual to be hired, is provided with a basic working contract allowing you to get by but not get ahead.

Great Team and Fun Environment
n/a (Current Employee), Edmonton, ABJanuary 31, 2014
Pros: free lunch, rsp, teamwork, opportunities for professional growth
Cons: informal/little documentation environment, need to take the initiative ask tons of questions to understand how things work
Definitely a place to work in a team environment.
Amazing culture built around professional development. You just need to be willing to put the work into your career.
Team management is open to new ideas and asks feedback in focus group settings. Open door environment.

The idea of a great company, hiding in a poorly executed one.
Analyst (Former Employee), CalgaryMay 10, 2013
Pros: found clients easily, the actual work was quite good and the environment was great
Cons: their cut of your rate is complete robbery.
They are your basic IT staffing firm with one catch: they keep 60%+ of your rate, for as long as you are with them. It is far too much money for what they give you. They are one giant HR firm and do a good job of placing you, but they could not be more of a rip off.

Used to be a nice branch
System Consultant (Current Employee), Edmonton, ABSeptember 24, 2012
Pros: free lunches
Cons: weak management
Edmonton Branch has been going down since last year. We had so much fun and it was a great place to work for. Recently, it is very tough to talk to people and management.
Overall, still nice people are around.
