Great 8-5 job
Retail Advertising Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Longview, TXJanuary 9, 2013
Working at the Longview News Journal was a pleasure. In the retail advertising department there never seemed to be a dull day. The management was friendly and helpful. My co-workers were interesting and sweet. It is a great place to work, and is adapting to the digital world quite well so far.
Pros
8-5 monday through friday
Cons
not so great pay for the assistants

It has been quite a while since I worked at the LNJ, but when I was there it was owned by Cox Communications and it was a great place to work.
Education Reporter (Former Employee) –  Longview News, LongviewJanuary 10, 2012
Longview News-Journal was a great place to work in East Texas. When I was there, I covered education and health care. This newspaper was where I began my career in journalism, and I learned about writing and reporting there.
Pros
great office setting and good management.
Cons
just like most newspapers, the pay was just so-so.
