Sales associate, Natick Ma - July 9, 2013
Lord and Taylor in Natick is an awful place to work for. The general management does not know the time and place to separate their personal opinions from their work. One week they will give you all the hours you need and all the vacation time you want but call out once for a personal reason such as family emergencies or hospitalized illness and they will make your next work day miserable, creating their own problems and yelling at you to fix them or how you "created" them. They do not know how to communicate with their employees, they will change the schedule without notice and on your day off and will reprimand you for being late or "no call no show" even when it was requested time off. It wasn't always a bad place to work for, coworkers and department managers were always friendly and the environment was comfortable and the work day went by fast however a bad personal day for general management is termination for you without a professional meeting and walking into work unable to find your punch card, schedule and name tag. All in all, no communication and unprofessional.
