Great learning experience.
Risk Management Intern (Current Employee), Oklahoma City, OKAugust 6, 2014
Pros: obtaining real world experience.
Cons: terrible department culture.
Learning about the various divisions of the Love's risk management department was very beneficial. I learned how to connect with other businesses and customer relations as well as the legality side of risk management.

Challenging Position
Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee), Williamsville, ILJuly 23, 2014
Pros: benefits were great!
Cons: short break, being away from my family so much
A typical day in my position involved me being in charge of the merchandising and stocking of shelves. I interacted with customers on a regular basis from the time they walked into the store until they left. I covered the position of cashier when needed, janitor duties, office duties. The hardest part of the job was being paid salary and working so – more... many hours I hardly saw my family. – less

Pay not reflected in large workload with long hours
Merchandising Manager (Current Employee), Aurora, NEJuly 3, 2014
The corporate concept is great, however, that is not reflected at the location that I am working at. Bad reputation for treatment of employees causes location to be understaffed. The two 12 hour and 2 10 hour shifts that is supposed to be worked/scheduled, is more like two 14 hour and 3 12 hour shifts.

Gm- offer you a lot of benefits and relocate you all expense paid BUT!!!
Gm (Former Employee), EverGreen AlabamaMay 12, 2014
Pros: 50% off on food
Cons: no breaks, not allow to call family, got all the bonuses because of food control
After relocating to Deep in the South,Loves Do not train you properly and you make a mistake do not let you learn, say nothing and then fire you.Not taking in that you work 50 to 60 hrs a week and never late or call in. Leaving you and you family of 7 with No income and stuck in deep south with not knowing not a lot of jobs available. Praying for this – more... company.. when going into the Store to get my last check. Over heard the D- manager talking to the New Gm and Assit Manager talking about them going to high school together and drinking and Partying. I pray that this is not the reason my family are without an income to eat and live.. Would not recommended this company to any one...Be Blessed... – less

CONTINUAL AUDITS DUE TO MANAGMENT EMBEZZLEMENT
Cashier/Janitor/Admin assist/train mngmt/new hires (Former Employee), EmmersonApril 29, 2014
Pros: the promise of advancement
Cons: shaving my hard working hours so managment can get bonus
This place doesn't deserve a spot on forbs. If embezzlement is the fundamental basis for this company then it's perfect for FORBS. They fired me because I needed emmergency surgery, then cancelled my insurance. Left me with a 22,000.00 medical bill and no way to pay for it when the company should have covered it. Workmans comp injury still hasnt paid – more... for anything. – less

Cashier
Cashier (Former Employee), Waller, TXApril 21, 2014
Pros: i got a 50% discount at arby's when i took lunch
Cons: breaks where only 30 min
I came in at 11:00pm and ended my shift at 7:00am. I restocked the cooler and swept and mopped the floors and the hardest part of my job would have to be the impatient truck drivers. They would always try to get an attitude with me and I would get my manager to help me with the problem.

Horrible place to work for
Gas Cashier (Former Employee), BarstowApril 4, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: management, brakes, lots of gossip, very dirty
The company is horrible I was there for a bit and they just end up using you for everything you have! Schedules are always changing and if you make someone mad then you get punished my the amount of hours you get, Had to work off the clock to get things done, NEVER get ur brakes unless your friends with management and smoke with them... Very very dirty – more... will never eat or buy anything from this place again! I don't know how they have the health code they have?!? Never get help from management on tasks that need to be completed. Very rude people to work for! Women can not go far in this company... Men run the whole company and they talk more gossip then a teenage girl! They go on business trips to just get wasted then brag about it... Management such as GM's, DM's and everyone higher then them are completely rude that think they know everything and make you feel like a complete moron. – less

fun fast paced work place
Cashier/ Courtesy Clerk (Former Employee), Anna, TXFebruary 23, 2014
The typical day is filled with meeting new people, traveling from all over and providing them with excellent customer service. I learned a lot about dealing with people when working here, management was good, the co-workers were all cool and relaxed, the hardest part of the job were long days where we may have been short handed but the best part was – more... being in a small town where people appreciated the fact that you remembered their preferences. – less
