Lift Operator, Georgetown, CO - January 25, 2017
One mornings following heavy snowfall we lift workers and operators had our hands full of physically strenuous work which had to be performed before the lift could commence operation. Some days we simply needed to sit back and watch the chairs go by and help out the occasional newbie, by slowing or stopping the lift. Daily rotations of locations on the mountain created a good variety of work- related duties. Also many locations allowed for, and required at least a single "run" down the mountain on your skis or snowboard. This once-a-day run allowed me to learn to snowboard rather quickly! Overall I miss working here, I think it was a great place to be, but the pay is lacking.
