I would still be working at LPL if it did not have such a bad management team at the time I worked there. I heard management is a lot better, I would not mind going back to work there since that was the only problem.
I worked here as a contractor for a few months. My first day on the job their were lay-offs. I should have taken that as a sign. My contract was ended abruptly. Great company but I would only work here if full-time status was offered.

Don't trust what you read here because LFG regularly gets bad reviews purged. I guess it's cheaper than treating people like human beings. Yesterday there were over 400 reviews, and what do you know, today their down to 200 with all the one star reviews deleted.
At least half half the employees are miserable, and a good deal of their workforce are temps trapped in temp jobs for years at a time despite being sold on temp to perm within a year or less.

Operations Specialist (Current Employee) – San Diego, CA – February 7, 2017
coworkers are nice, benefits are decent, other than that they treat you pretty poorly. if you work in san diego don't plan on advancing unless its through a different dept. Upper mgmt is very out of touch with every day operations and communication is awful
Marketing Intern (Current Employee) – Kent, WA – January 30, 2017
I am an intern at LPL Financial. This is a very good work place for everyone who is willing to reach their goals, work within minimum supervision, ability to take on new challenges. People are so friendly and proactive.
A great place to work if you are self driven and have a lot of time to build a book of business with little to no support. A perfect opportunity for someone who is already established and can afford to take some time to not make much while building a company from the ground up. There are no health or retirement benefits as an independent broker.
