Associate Director, Corporate and Fndn Relations, Baton Rouge, LA - November 27, 2013
The best part about LSU and the LSU Foundation was the family-like environment. The employees there were spectacular and I still remain very close to most everyone that I worked with during my time at LSU. Our office acted as the "one-stop shop" for the campus. We made an effort to stay abreast of campus research, programs, staff members, faculty, and academics to be sure that if we did not know an answer to someone's question we would definitely be able to know who to contact. In fundraising efforts, we were the staff members who sent reminders about deadlines and kept faculty and staff on schedule to be sure deadlines were met. I was given the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally through my position and absolutely loved meeting alumni along the way. The job was mostly about building relationships with people within corporations and foundations, and generally with alumni.
