Lucky Supermarket employees are covered by the AFL-CIO-affiliated United Food and Commercial Workers Union, local 8 (UFCW8). I'm not thrilled with what I've seen of this union, although I do like the free pens they hand out from time to time. If you want to learn more about UFCW, watch the 1990 documentary film, "American Dream" (or just check out the Wikipedia page).
