Lyondell Chemical Company (Lyondell) is a global manufacturer of chemicals and plastics, a refiner of heavy, high sulfur crude oil and a producer of fuel products. Lyondell’s operations primarily comprise four business segments: the ethylene, co-products and derivatives (EC&D) segment, the propylene oxide and related products (PO&RP) segment, – more... the refining segment and the inorganic chemicals segment. On August 16, 2006, Lyondell acquired CITGO Petroleum Corporation’s (CITGO) 41.25% interest in LYONDELL-CITGO (LCR) Refining LP, the Company’s joint venture with CITGO. Pursuant to the acquisition, LCR (which was renamed Houston Refining) became a wholly owned subsidiary of Lyondell.
