Manufacturing Engineer- Bonding & Machining - Wooster, Ohio
The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Manager of Torque Converter Clutch Assembly
and is responsible for all manufacturing activities within his/her section. This includes
equipment, productivity, efficiency, quality, process development, and workplace
S/he is responsible for production capacity, cost, and quality. S/he will continually focus on
reducing manufacturing cost and scrap. This person must possess considerable technical
and mechanical ability. This person must be able to troubleshoot and improve manufacturing
processes. S/he is responsible for the startup of new production jobs, ensuring equipment,
process, documentation, and gauging, are all accounted for. This person will support
company programs such as Work Center Excellence, Move, Kaizen, and workshops.
S/he will have a working knowledge of company policies, and apply them consistently,
including discipline when appropriate. S/he will adhere to, instruct, and enforce company
safety policies. S/he will facilitate and support the production incentive programs. S/he
knows and understands the company quality policy and procedures and contributes to the
achievement of the quality objectives.
Technical: SAP, SDC, PFMEA, Product/Process Knowledge, Zontec
& knowledge of the current quality specifications
Interpersonal: Communication (verbal & written), coaching, motivation, conflict management.
Organizational: Multi-tasking ability, planning, time management.
BS in Engineering or 10 years experience in manufacturing environment.
Ability to sit at a work station for extended period and general physical mobility and ability to
work hands on in a shop floor environment.
