Provide necessary supports to enable persons with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injuries to secure and maintain competitive, community based employment in business and industry. Provide 1:1 training to clients as well as ongoing supervision to ensure acquisition of job related skills and responsibilities. Facilitate and develop positive relations between the individual served, their co-workers and employer.
At least two years of work experience required. Must be flexible and actively demonstrate personal desire to enhance the lives of people with disabilities. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities: 1. Job development a)Identify job sites and negotiate with employers for Supported Employment placements. b) In consultation with Senior Program Manager, match individual's served with appropriate job opportunities. c) Attend trainings related to supporting persons with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injuries.d) Prepare Functional Assessments of Eligible Consumer's to identify strengths in relation to learning ability, work history, and social skill. e)Schedule job interviews for Eligible Consumers
