About M.E.G

M.E.G. manufactures three principal product types: steel retail shelving (known as gondolas) and accessories; stock room shelving; and laminate/melamine based wood accessories and companion fixtures. A wide variety of wood, metal and combination specialty fixture applications (such as pharmacy, shoe, soft lines, music & movie displays, sports equipment – more... displays etc.) that supplement the gondola and back room shelving lines are also found within these three categories. These product areas constitute a majority of fixturing found both on the retailing floor and in the stock rooms of chain retail stores including: big box discount stores, department stores, drug stores, and auto part stores. The metal gondola products are also found in grocery chains, wholesale clubs, office superstores, and other specialty concept retailers. Stock room shelving products are used in many other retail formats including high-end department stores, apparel stores, shoe stores and high fashion boutiques. Management believes that M.E.G. is the largest domestic manufacturer of backroom shelving for the retail market.

In 1996, M.E.G. introduced a Consolidation Service for our customer base. This service includes the warehousing, inventory management and distribution of store fixtures and accessories not produced by M.E.G. These store fixtures can be customer procured and owned, M.E.G procured and customer owned or M.E.G. procured and owned.

In 1999 M.E.G. formed the subsidiary Install Pro, Inc. to coordinate store fixture installation services for M.E.G. products.

A Fixture Recycle and Refurbish Service (original launch in 1967) was reinvigorated in 2007. Fixtures from closed stores are received by M.E.G., sorted, refurbished to new or near new condition, inventoried, and shipped to new or remodeled stores as required per a predetermined fee schedule. In 2008, M.E.G. placed higher emphasis on building this business to satisfy our customer's twin needs to cut capital spending while at the same time meeting their "Green" goals.

M.E.G. markets its products directly to major retailers for installation in their stores during new construction, remodeling / resetting, and merchandising system rollouts. M.E.G has a diverse, high quality customer base ranging from small footprint, mall and strip retailers to large format discount and traditional department stores. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
