KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with existing and targeted high-profile companies. The Key Account Manager provides or manages all sales functions for the product line. This includes strategic sales plan development as well as tactical implementation to meet stated sales revenue objectives. Formulate list of target account opportunities. Prepare Target Account strategies for each account. Execute strategies, utilizing available company resources. Build long-term strategic partnerships with identified accounts.
Secure contracts from targeted customers to generate revenue in order to meet sales objectives
Utilize a consultative sales approach to close the sale, defend the sale, and increase business with customers
Provide input to the Retail Product and Service product plan, developed by Marketing
Develop yearly strategic plans for the product line.
Utilize financial analysis tools for service/product value comparisons.
Support promotional activities including advertising, PR, collateral, direct mail, and trade show participation.
Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) input to validate market value and appropriate pricing to optimize revenue and margins.
Obtain and document competitive activities.
- Formal education required, MBA preferred
- Several years of experience in supply chain management of petroleum products
- Competency in using PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and general PC skills
- Business financial analysis skills.
- Experience in successfully selling services
- Experience in successfully selling outsourcing of information services
- Knowledge of Information Technology
- Basic knowledge of PC computers and MS Office software required.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Ability to operate a Blackberry and/or Smartphone.
- Up to 70% travel required.
