We are looking to hire instructors that have their AZ Certification in Secondary Education that are highly qualified in their subject area (Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Career and Technical Education)

Instructor needs to be available to work full-time in our Tempe, AZ Virtual learning Center

The Online Instructor is responsible for the instruction and facilitation of student learning in an online environment, while providing tutoring, student assignment feedback, communicating course and school requirements, augmenting courses in order to meet student remediation and enrichment needs promoting an exceptional student experience. Additional objectives may include but are not limited to the use of asynchronous and synchronous tools to enrich the student experience, setting deadlines and granting extensions, providing instructional support in academic classes, supporting students to promote engagement, completion of administrative tasks, and participation in professional development activities.

1. Instruct and facilitate student learning via internet, grade student work and provide individualized feedback that solicits further engagement in the course. Provide tutoring and identify adjustments based on students’ needs. Set deadlines and grant extensions to promote student engagement. 45%

2. Interact with students in live Elluminate sessions, or through personalized emails in order to answer academic questions and assist in course success. Use asynchronous and synchronous tools in order to aid student success. 25%

3. Answer incoming phone calls to assist parents and students with academic questions including progress reports, positive feedback, grades, and students concerns. Make outgoing phone calls in an attempt to contact parents and students to promote student engagement. Monitor and respond to student data information on “High Priority” students. 25%

4. Work as part of a departmental, as well as instructional, team to improve processes, develop best practices and implement creative solutions for student success barriers that arise. Participate in professional development activities.5%
