Recruitment/Team Building:

*Responsible for the overall recruitment, training and development of staff and performance *management
*Competitive shop to understand market and recruit effectively
*Create and maintain a team environment within the store
*Develop and recruit promotable candidates for company needs
*Supervision:

*Resolve interpersonal issues in partnership Human Resources and Director of Stores
*Create, implement and lead all sales and training initiatives
*Implement and review store policies/procedures on a regular basis and ensure staff adheres to them
*Observe staff on the selling floor and their interaction with customers, co-workers and overall customer *service level
*Provide in the moment and formal feedback based on observations. Share observations and next *steps with Director of Stores
*Resolves escalated issues in partnership with Director of Stores.
*Provide training to new hires and provide continuous refresher and specialized training, as needed, to *sales associates

Business Development:

*Analyze reports to identify deficiencies and opportunities
*Develop relationships and communicate effectively with merchants
*Ensure product assortments to meet store profiles – seasonal input on buys for store
*Strong focus on in-store events, planning and teaming with Director of Marketing
*Quarterly Evaluation of P&L Budget with CEO
*Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to develop a repeat and loyal clientele
*Operations & Loss Prevention:

*Ensure appropriate store controls for all company standards in all departments, i.e., payroll hours, *management mix, cash, inventory, fixtures and property.
*Process Payroll, maintaining schedules and ensuring staff adheres to attendance and punctuality policies and procedures
*Responsible for the maintenance and organization of the daily register, banking functions, communicating and setting appointments with outside vendors that provide services for the store
Implement and lead floor sets, inventory and all company initiatives
*Ensure store shrinkage and audit goals are achieved through sound operational execution
*Prepare, implement, and execute scheduled inventory
*Opening and closing of the store
*Oversee daily cleaning and physical up-keep of damaged areas inside and outside the store, ensure stockroom is organized and is set up properly so staff can easily access merchandise
*Manage and monitor sales figures, payroll budgets, controllable expenses, inventory control best practices and banking procedures
Communication:

*Manage and maintain current programs for optimal performance practices, including training modules, communication binder, bulletin boards, holds and damages, schedules and backroom organization
*Hold morning information and motivational meetings in partnership with management team

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have:
*A minimum of 2 years of retail experience as a General Manager or 3 years previous experience as a *Assistant General Manager: preferably in a luxury retail environment
*Willing to work in and promote a team oriented environment
*Must have strong leadership skills and demonstrate a strong leadership background
*Excellent interpersonal skills required to ensure clear, effective communication with all management and staff. Consistently show a positive attitude & take responsibility for own actions
*Must be results driven and flexible to change
*Advanced knowledge of POS System and basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Must have balanced strengths in operations, merchandising and personnel management
