Paratransit Driver, Brooklyn, NY - September 19, 2017
The job is not a hard job because all you have to do is drive. management STRESS the safety of passengers and being alerts while on the road. I've learned that while doing pre trip make such that you have all the locks for the wheelchair...lol...you never want to get to a pick and don't have the proper amount of locks to strap down a wheelchair. The hardest part of the job is staying on a timely schedule because things like traffic, waiting for passengers or the weather could easily change that but never rush because you could get into a accident. most enjoyable part is you get to visit all five boroughs and when you're on your family outing u can choose some of the places that passed on your route.
