Location of Position: Sanford, NC
Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will be responsible for critical cost functions and processes related to product costing, cost analysis, standard rate calculations, overhead allocations and reporting. Serves on a task force to promote continuous improvement of the production system according to World Class Manufacturing standards and provides cost accounting support to sales, manufacturing, purchasing, operations and engineering.

Establish plant labor and overhead cost rates, including product cycle times, set rates monthly.
Conduct profitability analysis and prepare monthly product profit and loss statements.
Prepare product cost information for Budget, Forecast and long term planning processes.
Prepare monthly efficiencies analysis and reporting.
Conduct Make vs Buy analysis.
Prepare financial and capacity analysis to support initiatives and quotes for new business.
Prepare profitability modeling and pricing analysis to support current products.
Provide financial support for R&D cost reduction activities and reporting.
Responsible for intercompany pricing, budgets, forecasts and informational requests.
Responsible for maintaining NAFTA country of origin certification compliance and support for Import/Export Tariff and Duty regulations.
Manage the Cost Deployment pillar for the World Class Manufacturing program, maintaining plant wastes/losses databases, tracking & measuring approved cost reduction projects and communicating results with plant and corporate management.
Education and Experience
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Industrial Engineering
Experience with Continuous Improvement Programs such as Six Sigma, TQM or WCM
Process knowledge in manufacturing technologies and processes (castings, machining, molding or assembly)
CPA, MBA or CMA preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Prior experience with SAP software
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access skills with the ability to create queries, detailed formulas, v-lookups and pivot tables to extract analyze and report data in relevant ways to make business decisions
Ability to manage multiple projects and demands at once
Strong written and oral communication skills
Highly organized and efficient self-starter, with high analytical skills and ability to link manufacturing operations to financial results
