Rework and repair (Former Employee), Sanford, NC – November 4, 2013
The night started out with sorting the good parts from the scap parts. I would start to disassemble scrap parts and write down every individual parts down so that quality department would take off the parts from inventorty that were scrapped. The fully assembled parts that could be reset and put back on the line was typically broke down to a certain – more... point so that the parts would make it all the way through the assembly line to be shipped to customers without being rejected. The greatest part about this job was that I was constently was learning about different departments and assembly lines. My supervisor always wanting me to keep learning about all the different departments so if someone was absent I would know how to do that job with no problems. I typically worked alone but I had great co-workers, we always worked together to get the job done right. If I ever had a problem or question when working on the assembly line someone would always lend a hand. The only problem about this job was trying to get a permenent position. But I loved my job here at Magneti Marelli, I loved tearing parts down and either fixing them and sending them back to the line or disassembling the parts and sending them to the scrap ben.I always felt important in this position. – less
Finance/Accounting (Former Employee), Sanford, NC – September 12, 2013
The company invests very little in its equipment and even less in its people. A very combative environment of constant finger pointing and blaming others. No commitment to work together to achieve overall company objectives. It is expected that people work excessively long hours including weekends and holidays without take vacations.
Sales & Engineering Manager (Former Employee), Auburn Hills, MI – June 11, 2013
A typical day at work I make room for the important and try to avoid focusing on insignificant or immediate mosquito bites. I leverage the one-to-one collaboration to advancing priority projects. And as a manager ,I try to spend time with each team member, because Teams are made up of people and my people need quality time with me. One of the most enjoyable – more... part of the day or the job, is the coffee time. As a good Italian company, a good and strong coffee is really appreciated and I love my cappuccino. This is the excellent time for socialization with co-workers. – less
I was responsible for machining throttle bodies and holding tolerances to blue print spec. The management was somewhat okay. There were several co-workers that were not commited to completing their duties. The hardest part of the job was maintaining four machines, getting parts checked, and making sure production was fulfilled. The most enjoyable part – more... of my job was learning the machines. – less

Work at Magneti Marelli was good and was not routine. I learned to do a good negotiating and find the best product quality x price. The management there has always been very good, giving the necessary support and help in professional growth. Co-workers were friendly and companions. The difficult part of the job was when the supplier did not meet with – more... expectations. The nice part of the job was to make negotiations with the power of decision. – less
