I enjoyed working in this fun yet fast-paced environment. My work-load was heavy, although there were many times when everyone would get a much needed break. I learned how to use my skills in a new type of business setting as well as how to keep balance between the office and the field. My co-workers were fantastic; however, the lack of upper management often made completing simple tasks more difficult than necessary.
The hardest part of my job was balancing my duties as Assistant Manager in the office and trying to assist the Field Manager, who managed 26+/- maids by herself. The language barrier made it difficult for me to perform many tasks that would've assisted the Field Manager in streamlining her day. This challenge was also the most enjoyable part of my job, because I recognized where help was needed and it gave me the opportunity to help bridge the gap between the office and the field, as well as give support and build trust with the General Manager, the Field Manager and the Field Staff.
