You will lead a team that is tasked with further developing our Microsoft Managed Partnership which began over 5 years ago and is quickly becoming a large part of our overall business. The Sr. Microsoft System Center Consultant will design and deploy complex solutions. The consultant will resolve engagement requirements without having to escalate to additional resources. Individual has a mix of advanced technology and practical, operational acumen.
The role requires both broad and deep technical knowledge and the ability to architect a solution by mapping a customer*s business problem to an end to end technology solution. The consultant should possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems from Windows NT through Windows 2008 R2/2012; Active Directory and Directory Services knowledge necessary. Sr. level knowledge of SCCM or SCOM required. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value. This role manages the complete lifecycle of large and complex projects. He or she has a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
You are involved with the following:
- Platform Migration: Migrate platforms to the latest Microsoft operating system
- Server Consolidation: Maximize resources that are under-utilized to increase reliability and centralize administration
- Data Center Operations: Evaluate processes and infrastructure design to more efficiently manage operations and reduce costs while increasing predictability
- Enterprise Directories: Deploy enterprise-wide business directories to lower administrative costs, coordinate end-user accounts, and reduce development costs
- Desktop Deployment: Execute large-scale desktop deployments without productivity or data loss
3+ years of experience in the following:
- System Center Products
- SCCM 2007/2012- System Center Configuration Manager
- Desktop Migrations
- OS: Vista, XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
- Zero Touch Installation (ZTI)
- Low Touch Installation (LTI)
- Microsoft Desktop Optimization Package (MDOP)
- Application Compatibility or Application Compatibility Factory (ACF)
- Application Assessment
*Sr. level knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration and Operations Manager
*Hands on technical experience with System Center Configuration and Operations Manager 2007 R2
*Ability to access and design SCCM 2007/2012 and SCOM 2007/2012 infrastructures
*System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2008/2012 Design, Implementation and Integration with SCOM 2007/2012 experience
*Orchestrator experience a plus
*Assess, Design, Implement System Center Service Manager (SCSM)
*Windows server and desktop image design
*At least 10 years experience of hands on technical and design experience with Microsoft Enterprise technologies
*At least 5 years experience of customer consulting
*History of having performed successful SCCM/SCOM 2007/2012 deployments
*Experience with ancillary technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit, MAP Tool, PXE, WinPE, imagex, WSUS 3.0, vbscripting, etc.
Familiar with related technologies such as Active directory, DNS, WDS, DHCP, etc
*Experience with ITIL process
Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
Demonstrated ability to understand a customer's needs
Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Ability to travel 50% of the time to the customers location in Southern California
