High turn-over rate
Editor (Former Employee) –  Vienna, VAJune 13, 2017
I would not recommend accepting a position at this company. I had a very positive outlook on this company when I was first hired because it seemed like there was a lot of room for advancement.

I learned the hard way that part of the room for advancement I believe was due to high turn-over. It was common for someone to resign from the company weekly.

Projects were assigned with short deadlines in order to turn a profit.

They have recently instituted a very complex time sheet process where you bill every 15 minutes that is extremely difficult to use. I was unable to take a lunch break because it was so excessive.
Pros
Bagels. coffee
Cons
Negative environment, working on weekends to meet deadlines

Stressfull place to work overall.
Property Manager (Former Employee) –  Miami FloridaJune 7, 2017
It was a good learning experience overall , the work environment is very stressful, many sites and customers . Hard to cope with it overall. Very quick pace and management turns quick on decision making creating caos and uncertainty in the work place.

Great company, full of creative people!
Instructional Designer (Former Employee) –  Vienna, VAMarch 29, 2017
I got my career started here. It was invigorating to be surrounded by so many creative professionals, all subject matter experts in their field. In just two years there, I learned what elsewhere would have taken me twice as long--thanks to the phenomenal colleagues that worked beside me as mentors and SMEs.

No culture, supervisors don't know how to supervise
Technical Support (Former Employee) –  Tysons, VAMarch 16, 2017
The upper management want to change the company culture, but they want it to happen "organically" so there's no direction. Supervisors don't know how to supervise their employees and are pulled in so many directions, they can't lead their teams. Some bosses don't know how to manage younger females and run to HR with things that shouldn't ever be an issue. So much time and energy is focused on documenting problems, they can't keep track of simple things like passwords and email templates. Wasted a lot of time here. Wish I had left a lot sooner.

Lots of turnover because of poor leadership and management. Lots of employees are taken advantage of and abused.
Pros
Donuts on Wednesdays, free booze at company events
Cons
No culture, bad management, unfulfilled promises, high turnover

This company has no culture. Upper management only cares about revenue. Ideas from those doing the work are often ignored. There are no bonuses and no incentives. Benefits are abysmal.

Depressing environment with no support!!!!
Instructional Designer (Former Employee) –  Tysons Corner, VAJanuary 2, 2017
Depressing environment. You are stuck in your cubicle with no permission to ask any questions. No training and support or other resources are provided. There are too many Managers with "do this" or "do that" with no clue what they are doing themselves. There are too many promises made during the hiring process but none of them are followed through. Individuals who are called "PMDs" don't know the internal processes, and are not able to provide decent basic training. Interesting that the company provides training for federal employees but is not capable to train their own employees
Pros
flexible hours
Cons
no support and training provided, hostile environment

You get to come in when you want and leave when you want, as long as you get the job done. Work from home allowed one day per week. Company provides you a laptop. Get to take lunch whenever you want. Projects can be challenging and it's basically learn-by-doing. If you're looking for a lot of support or are not that experienced, you could end up struggling. You definitely need to have a lot of initiative and be proactive.

Backstabbing; culture of fear; not permitted to ask questions
Senior Instructional Designer (Former Employee) –  Vienna, VASeptember 1, 2016
The work load is overwhelming. Training and job preparation is minimal. At time of hire, promises of flexible hours, independence, support, and telework are at the forefront. None of those things ever come to fruition. If you are not at your desk with your hands on your keyboard for 8 hours a day. you are accused of not working. Apparently meetings and training do not count in compensated time. And forget about going to the bathroom or getting water. That is not permitted.
Seriously the worst place I have ever worked in 20 years of professional life.
Co-workers that have been there a long time are treated very differently. Other new coworkers share a sense of being "hazed."
Errors in other's work is often egregious and most don't care to fix it.
I can't believe anyone pays them for training... zero credibility deserved.
Cons
no breaks, cubicles

Your career comes here to die
Manager (Current Employee) –  Vienna, VAJuly 21, 2013
Culture war going on internally makes operations a mess. Many long term employees apathetic and newer employees pulling all the weight, causing a lot of frustration. Upper management rules in a vacuum and does not listen to the professional leaders they hire. This organization is a career killer.
