The CFO will have financial oversight of a For-Profit hospital, physician clinic and ambulatory surgery center within this Montana market. This is a Joint Venture between the management company and the 50+ physician investors.
We are seeking a CFO that has hospital CFO / controller experience and/or physician practice financial management from a larger provider setting. Must enjoy and prefer a For-Profit setting as well as enjoy working closely with physician investors.
Duties also include:
*Directs and oversees financial activities of the company including preparation of financial reports, capital and operating budgets, projections and financial feasibility studies. Maintains lease financing and capital financing activities.
*Responsibilities include revenue cycle, admissions, health information management, finance and accounting, materials management and information technology. Member of executive management.
*Reports to the CEO.
*Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to partners, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies including cost reports to the contracting agency for CMS.
*Oversees accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
*Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer directions.
*Reviews reports to analyze projections of revenues and expenses against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
*Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need to be reorganized, down-sized or eliminated.
*Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion in to new product areas. Estimates requirements for capital, land, buildings, and an increase in the work force.
*Supervises investment of funds; works collaboratively with banks and/or investment bankers to raise additional capital as required for expansion.
*Maintains relationship with audit firm.
*Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
*7 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
*CPA designation preferred. HFMA certification preferred.
*Must live or relocate to north central Montana; the community will be disclosed once we have your resume and during phone interview.
*Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.
*able to create financial reports for dispersement and ability to communicate numbers effectively to non-financial persons such as physicians.
*Eight to ten years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
