Education: High school Diploma (Machinist I certification helpful)
With priorities set by Supervisor and quality of work confirmed by measurement / Quality Control, run metal shaping / finishing equipment to produce high precision metal parts.
Key Result Accountabilities
1. Operate machine according to procedures (including periodic preventative
maintenance and changing of lubricants) to produce precision metal parts.
2. Confirm parts conform to specifications by periodically measuring parts
with devises typically accurate to .001.
3. Document daily production / quality in Mfg Control Software. Report unusual
situations to supervisor.
Must have the ability to read blue prints, ability to complete basic math calculations and ability to take measurements with tools typically accurate to .001. Up to one year of Machine operating experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Up to 3 months of on-the-job-training required prior to completing independent work assignments.
All assignments are performed in a safe and professional manner. Unsafe actions or conditions, when identified, are corrected.
