Direct and manage the Human Resources functions for N. E. Ohio manufacturing company. Conduct labor relations and negotiations within the union environment. Administer payroll functions. Perform organizational development and recruiting functions. Assess and evaluate contractual obligations. Manage employee benefit plans. This position requires a results oriented, high energy, hands-on team approach, attention to detail, and the ability to appropriately deal with the challenges that come with change, conflict, and communication.

Essential Functions:
- Manages daily HR functionality including records management and employee inquiries
- Provides consistent interpretation, application, and enforcement of policies and rules
- As management representative, maintains and improves communication with union leadership
- Promotes contractual adherence, processes grievances and negotiates new labor agreements
- Supports the human capital needs of all departments
- Recruits and also facilitates new employee selection and handles on-boarding processes
- Works with third-party administrators as necessary to review benefits and compensation
- Administers changes to HR and payroll systems as needed

Experience/Performance Requirements:
8+ years progressively responsible relevant experience; minimum 3 years in Labor Relations/HR management; understanding of LEAN concepts a plus

Bachelors’ degree a must; Business, Management, HR preferred; Masters’ degree desirable
