Starting up the fryer first thing in the morning, slicing meets and cheeses to put on display, then adding the finishing garnish. I loved working in the deli because I was able to be creative with food..... HOW FUN! The most difficult part of the job was making sure all the foods in the freezer were rotated properly so we didn't have so much spoilage.

Fast paced work and lots of customers. A typical day included helping customers, stock, and cleaning and closing at the end of the shift.

Easy going place of employment. Owners were very understanding and very helpful. I learned that there are always people willing to help you succeed. Loved interacting with the customers.

work is easy, meet tons of new people. good first job. gives good experience for cashiering and stocking.

company shut down sold to another where I work made a career move and went into trucking.

crazy hours, no breaks, pay sucks, lots of work for little pay and too much travel involved

Working at Marathon will definitely give you an excess of customer service experience. You will meet many regular customers and do standard part-time tasks. There is a ton of freedom to do homework and such.

CLEAN,BRIGHT,AND MANY REGULAR CUSTOMERS. REQUIRED TO TAKE CUST.SERVICE CLASSES WERE A GREAT ASSET. CO-WORKERS WERE TIMID,BUT KNOWLEDGEABLE

i worked hard for two years then owner sold without any notice

No room for improvement! Low pay! No structure! Felt as if the customer came in last place.

The day care was ran inappropriately. Very sad situation! Finally shut down!

loved my job there but was laid off i learned alot got alot of experience got along with co-workers nothing to hard to handle co-workers

Holding the position of Assistant Manager it was my duty to process orders, create weekly employee schedules, file payroll, maintain the overall appearance of the store inside and out and fulfill customers’ needs.

its a good place to work fast pace and i am around a lot of good people but i do run across a few that doesnt like me cause of my color but it doesnt bother me im at a job to work the hardest part of my job is when i work in the kitchen cause it is so un organized but i do enjoyworking with my coworkers.

Although my day was somewhat monotonous. I enjoyed working for marathon. I most of all loved my customers. My co-workers were fun to work with, and the management was exceptional.

Very busy store with a small Pizza oven. We would be slammed daily.

Nice place ..learning experience..meeting different people from different back grounds..and learning from them was a nice experience.

I liked the people I worked with a lot. They were like a little family to me and are always there if you need them.

Worked for this company for about 4 years. They care about their employees and customers. It was a great experience working here. I have made life-long friends as well as learned many skills for customer service from this employer.

A typical day at this company makes me happy I have a job, but as for a happy place to be in daily, would not be my first choice to spend my time. The customers that visit this gas station are mostly, if not all, very rude, loud, ungrateful, messy, and very disrespectful towards me and every other employee that works for this company. They treat us – more... as if were, ( the employees) uneducated, worthless and insignificant, when really everyone that is employeed there is either in college or has been to college. I myself have attended Wilbur Wright College but unfortunately had to drop out because I had to choose between paying my bills as a full time employee or going to school and further educating myself. I can say without a doubt I have made the wrong decision. As for management, lazy, would be a word best to describe them. When things go wrong at this company, they are not in any hurry to fix the problem and make things better. There really is not any hard part of my job. It is a gas station. I know what to do as far as customer service. I respect people that visit this store, even when they do not respect me. I would say the only good part of my job at this company would only be, it pays my bills. I am looking for a respectable job in a good neighborhood, and to work with a company that cares for their employees and cares how they look as a company. – less
