As a marketstar employee i was a contractor under the Verizon fios program. When they closed down my store suddenly I was unable to find transfer or another similiar job in the area. I have now been unemployed for months.

Being able to educate customers about a certain product,the hardest part of the job is waking up at 3am in the morning to drive 1 hour to work, the fun part of the job is traveling to utah for training and learning new things.

I like the fact that they work with a lot of different major corporations so there's always work available.

The average day at work is busy. We always have reports to send in and programs and certifcations to pass. Working at marketstar it taught me how to set up and sell Fios, also how customer service works. The manager that worked with us was a great leader. Worked with 2 accounts at marketstar. Both sides had poor leadership in the VP and Director level on both sides of the company. Retail and Channel sales.

Working for MarketStar is not an experience I want to experience ever again in my life. Upper management is full of ego.

It was a great company to work for, I left because I was pursuing a career in the veterinary field.

Position demands working every weekend. great working atmosphere. Great people to work with. Team oriented position that allow you to make manager decisions.

I loved working at Marketstar and would recommend it to anyone looking for a job.

It's used to be a great company to work for. Unfortunately upper management got greedy. Cutting back on our pay, changing commission structure when staff was making more money. It's to the point where store manager would make less then store associate's that are part time. Only with the perk of more responsibilities and a lousy bonus that the rep exceed – more...  on commission's within a week.
Furthermore, there's really a lack for formal training and support from upper management. Specially in the Verizon Program.

Only great thing where the hours being 9-6 PM Mon - Sat with Alternating Sat if your full time. Part-Timers are required to work all Sat 9-6. Requesting off as a PT a Sat is very hard. Also you can't have off Mon & Friday without using VAC or PO Time. – less
