An excellent company with great core values towards customers and associates
REGIONAL SALES ADMINISTRATION MANAGER (Current Employee), Hilton Head Island, SC – March 4, 2013
Pros: great company with strong core values.
Cons: n/a
I've been given the opportunity to support our sales teams by providing financial and contractual support when a sales is made. This service extends up to closing. My co-workers as well as other departments provide great support in ensuring our new and existing clients’ needs are taken care of. We work and speak with one voice. All positions will have – more... moments that might cause some frustrations; however, this comes with the business. Overall, the satisfaction in making a sale and taking care of our guest and associates makes it all worthwhile. – less

Pros: great benefits
Cons: hours can be weird
Marriott has great values. The location may have a lot to do with how much you enjoy your job. If you are willing to put in the work initially the company will be very loyal to you.

Marriott Worldwide Vacation Club Sales Executive (Former Employee), St. Thomas USVI – February 15, 2013
Pros: travel incentives
Cons: lack of support from management
They say people don't leave a company, they leave management. This is so true with my last employer. The company is a great company to work in. However, I wouldn't go back to their management.

I loved this company and its mission.
Sales Executive (Former Employee), Myrtle Beach, SC – December 15, 2012
Pros: every aspect of marriott was top notch
Cons: tough economical times
Meeting with very high end clients mostly CEO's, Entrepreneurs, Presidents of companies.
Presenting the new product, and solving any issues for these clients.
Upgrading the clients to better and larger packages.
I learned how to deal with a very affluent clientele.
This company was top notch and my co-workers and management were as well.
The hardest – more... part of the job was that I was the new hire and production was not at the peak.
The most enjoyable part of the job was selling a beautiful resort and product that I was extremely proud of. – less

Bring Back The Good Ole Days....
Owner Referral Service and Sales (Former Employee), SouthPark Center Loop – December 8, 2012
Pros: decent pay, great spiffs, fun environment, great teams, good training
Cons: hard to transfer
The company culture is what every call center should aspire to because you felt like you belong. Yes, it was a revolving door but once you found your footing you truly worked part-time with full-time pay. There was never a boring moment: company picnics, luaus and constant motivational meetings. Best part, you didn't work weekends or holidays. This – more... call center is very traditional with its lead source (no dialer) in an effort to keep the extra noise of dialer manipulation down. – less

With each call there is the chance for a sale, and what makes it interesting is listening and paying attention to what the customer is really saying and wants.

Not your typical company
Recreations Attendant (Current Employee), Singer Island, FL – May 2, 2012
Pros: benefits
Cons: work hours, management
In marriott there is not much advancement especially in the vacation club. When it is time to transfer there are not any jobs and if there are any jobs you have to be in the circle to get the job. It is high stress and this company always reminds you that you are on stage and you better not mess up.
