Marketing Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLSeptember 18, 2013
Through professional persuasion, procure qualified prospective purchaser

Vacation Club. Coordinate appointments and arrivals with the sales
gallery and facilitate a smooth and effective marketing process.
Confirmed guest reservation's three weeks prior to guest arrival and
greeted guest upon arrival with Welcome Package and gift. Ensured guest
understanding of the details of participation for vacation package
personal preview tour for the Marriott's BeachPlace Towers Vacation Club.
Provide information and when necessary provide concierge services to
package guests and owners during their guests stay prior to and after
personal preview tour. Handled all guest questions, problems and
complaints as they relate to MVCI programs. Qualify prospects according
to details of participation of any given program. Provided creative
suggestions for new programs or improvements to the current marketing
programs in order to maximize efficiency in sales and guest/owner
programs.

sheets, time sheets and welcome packages to Marketing Manager. Exceeded
minimum productivity standards as required in the Marketing Coordinators
Compensation Plan.
•Assisted team in reaching goal for the MVCI December 2008 Owner's Event,
$128,300 in volume, $7,547 VPG and 35% in closing. Putting Marriott
BeachPlace Towers at record goal for that event.

This greatly impacted the guests one on one welcome and improved
  more... the
relationships between the marketing coordinator, sales executives,

This personal one on one contact, prior to arrival and upon check-in,

ultimate guest experience. With respect, consideration, warmth,

Pleasure working for Network Team
Contractor (Former Employee) –  Lakeland, FLAugust 5, 2013
The hardest part of this job was the time it had taken to access rights to the systems that I needed to have access to do the job. Typical work day was focused on monitoring and network repair, management was a pleasure, co-workers were extremely knowledgable and eager to assist.
Pros
family oriented company which made it easy for families with two working parents.
Cons
contract was cut short due to needs of the business.

Excellent Introduction into the Travel and Tourism Industry
Vacation Ownership Advisor (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJuly 31, 2013
Marriott provides excellent training for incoming employees with mentoring given by senior associates. All resources are provided for success and generally everyone there is wonderful to work with. The call center environment can be a bit tedious for some, but Marriott provides ways to break the monotony.
Pros
great training; accomodations aren't a problem; discounted stays in hotels
Cons
repetitive; at times like stepford wives

Overall Good Company to Work For
Marketing Coordinator/Lead Tour Desk Specialist (Former Employee) –  Las Vegas, NVJuly 15, 2013
Fast-paced work environment. This resort being a timeshare hotel can lead to some fairly stressful work conditions (hotel issues combined with sales issues - marketing quotas), but generally a nice group of people to work with.

Human Resources Commission Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FloridaJune 11, 2013
The best part of working with MVCI was the company. A happy employee is a happy customer. The company was employee focused and ensured we were happy.

There was nothing hard about MVCI except leaving.

Supportive work environment
Quality Control Specialist (Current Employee) –  Orlando, FLApril 12, 2013
A typical day consisted of taking inbound calls from sales reps to do quality control with the guests after a sale was made. Typically, the calls go smoothly but occasionally I would have to smooth over guest issues. Management is very welcoming and willing to help in any situation. My team consists of 8 members all of whom got along well with one another. A very friendly work environment all around. The hardest part of the job is the long wait between calls if it's to be slow and all the monotony of it all. The most enjoyable part is working in a friendly environment.
Pros
monthly pot lucks, hotel room discounts, holidays off, etc.
Cons
no growth potential.

This company offers a large number of jobs but very few careers. The benefits are great and the company tries hard to create a fun work environment. Unfortunately this company does not put any weight on the fact that you have earned a degree.
