Marshall Medical Center is an excellent medical facility that has hard working employees and an excellent management staff.

The best part of working there is working with people that care about patients from Doctors to housekeeping staff.

Very oppressive and negative place to work. High turnover, low moral, no job mobility, people are placed in position based on who they know rather than job skills.

MMC is a great family to work with. The people are incredible and care about the community more than I ever imagined. The only down sides are the pay/benefits could be better and some of the management needs to be replaced.

Medical transcriptionist/clerk (Former Employee) –  Lewisburg, TNMarch 1, 2015
Great place to work. Employees all friendly and helpful. Work was not stressful and enjoyable. Learned new jobs through cross training. Management was very kind and helpful. Co-workers were like family and fun to work with. Hardest part of job was understanding some doctors' dictations. Most enjoyable part of job was working with people who appreciate all the efforts made to get the job done fast and error free. Most employees commented on the hard efforts to complete the work timely.
Pros
Friendly atmosphere and great employees

A wonderful, fast paced learning experience.
Speech Pathology Intern (Former Employee) –  Placerville, CAFebruary 11, 2015
I worked in both inpatient acute care and out patient services with a supervising clinician. I would arrive to the office around 8:30am, check the schedule for the day and prepare for out patient therapy. I conducted therapy for adults who experienced CVA's, TBI's, and various accident's that resulted in aphasia (both receptive and expressive), apraxia, cognitive disorders, and dysphagia. Therapy was 1 hour in duration. After my scheduled out patient appointments I would go to the hospital to conduct bedside swallow evaluations for initial assessments or for assessment of diet upgrades/down grades/management. Also I assessed cognition and language to determine a patients current status and compared it to their baseline. I worked with family members, doctors, nurses, and other professionals (OT, PT) to support the patient in recovery while maintaining proper documentation of services.
Pros
Fast paced environment with new patients often.
Cons
Productivity rates

When you first start everyone treats you all nice, when you are there for any period of time you are treated like dirt. The boss can talk to you like you are dirt on their shoe you go to administrator and nothing is done. They pick and choose who will be treated with respect and who will have to put a daily fight to get through 8 hours.
Pros
ok pay

o Commercial And Acute Billing Specialist (Former Employee) –  Placerville, CAAugust 23, 2014
There was a lack of training, and incomplete education. The seem to be downsizing and getting rid of a lot of people. Enjoyed working for the company but not in the billing department. Great coworkers not so great management.

Registrar (Former Employee) –  Lewisburg, TNOctober 3, 2013
Liked the supervisor and fellow co workers, the workload could be overwhelming and the pay did not make up for the amount of work you had to do. But one thing is for sure you either had super busy days or very slow days.
Cons
