MSLO
Production Associate (Former Employee), New York, NYMarch 17, 2015
Pros: vision insurance
Cons: location
MSLO is a decent company to work for. The location is difficult to get to and not convenient for running errands or going to doctor's appointments.

The benefits are good and include vision. The work environment is sometimes difficult because there are no cubicles.

That said, it's as good a place to work as any.

You learn a lot working for Martha
Producer / Production Manager (Former Employee), New York, NYFebruary 25, 2015
Pros: Free food
Cons: Difficult talent
Martha Stewart is a consummate perfectionist and expects it of her staff. We have to perfect even the most minute details because she will definitely notice. But Martha is a teacher at heart and loves to help people learn. So there's always something to be gained because Martha pretty much knows everything about everything and since the heart of her productions is how-to, the staff takes away as much as the audience.

With a highly trained and very talented staff, employees were not utilized to their full capabilities. Creative work environment, difficult management.

Great culture and atmosphere
Ad Sales Coordinator/Planner (Current Employee), New York, NYJanuary 27, 2014
Pros: culture
Cons: compensation, lack of growth opportunities
MSLO has a wonderful culture. I have had the pleasure to work with an extremely talented and passionate group of people.

Overall a great company; however, there is not enough room for growth within.

Dream Job Turned Into Nightmare
Product Manager, Martha Stewart Collection (Former Employee), New York, NYOctober 4, 2013
Pros: great brand.
Cons: management lacks focus, treats employees like cattle. patsy pollack is a nightmare to work for.
When I joined the company, the teams were focused and everyone was aligned to the brand. By the time my position was eliminated, Patsy Pollack entered the picture and destroyed the department. It's a great place to work to say you've worked there and get it on your resume, but don't sign up thinking you will stay there for any length of time.

Director (Current Employee), New York, NYNovember 12, 2012
MSLO attracted some of the industry's best talent - people with a true passion for the brand, and the lifestyle category.
