Filler job, not a good long term job for 99.9%
Locum Tenen Agent (Former Employee) – Irving, Texas – June 21, 2013
You are required to be there from 8am to 6pm. you have anywhere from 60-90 minute lunch break but in addition to being expected to work through most of your lunch break they also expect you to put in extra hours beyond the 10 hours your already there per day. Everyone seems nice at first but then you quickly realize a lot of the same people who offer to help you will also use you as a stepping stone if it means a little extra commission for them. For the new employees it is very hard because you are competing with other employees who already have their "pipeline" built up or have all the good regions taken (depending if you work with the clients or providers) so it is really hard to break through. The training is average at best and many of the directors and seniors can't even tell you all the rules and guidelines you need to follow. There are a few good directors and seniors but most only care about themselves and a select few others who have been there a long time. In addition they were recently bought out by HCA who are changing the structure of the company which has made things worse and resulted in almost 10 directors, VP's, seniors quitting their jobs and moving elsewhere. If you are desperate for a job take it but otherwise keep looking.
free friday breakfast, very relaxed dress code
sitting behind a desk all day, very hard to meet your expected numbers
