Awful place to work!! Don't do it -- event if you are desperate.
Former Staff Member (Former Employee), New York, NYJanuary 8, 2014
Pros: upper east side location
Cons: terrible senior management -- starting at the top!
This is an awful place and a sinking ship! Staff is not treated well bordering on abusive. Moral is low because of poor management who overwork the staff and have unreal expectations.

If I could have graded it with "negative" stars I would have selected that option. The "one" star rating is an overstatement.

Administrative Services Coordinator (Current Employee), New York, NYNovember 11, 2013
Pros: amazing work atmosphere
Cons: not enough room for growth
Theoretically I would love to stay here but it feels as if I have reached my ceiling. I feel as if I'm letting my potential go to waste and that I may be best utilized elsewhere

Chief Editor - Marymount Manhattan Review (Former Employee), New York, NYSeptember 6, 2013
I loved working as an editor for my college's literary magazine. It was a challenge I was excited to take on ever year, and it taught me a lot about editing and publishing creative material.

loved working in music industry allowed me to meet celebrities.
Accounts payable Coordinator (Former Employee), New York, NYJuly 23, 2013
Pros: meeting celebrities and watching live shows for free
Cons: lots of pressure deadlines.
Working at BET was fun and exciting. On my first day I remember meeting someone I looked up to as a child. It was a very high demand high profile job. Dealing with professionals at all levels with lots of pressure to get the job done yesterday. I thrive on pressure so I enjoyed every bit of it. The atmosphere was a bit unprofessional as the music industry – more... tends to be. However if you love working to in the media industry you will love to work here. – less

Excellent compensation and management
Payroll Coordinator (Former Employee), New York, NYSeptember 7, 2012
Pros: days off during the summer thanksgiving, christmas and new year's weeks.
Cons: long commute up to two hours on bad days.
Processed a biweek payroll for up to 600 employees with Ceridian's HPW program with the guidiance of my superior. Had a close knit relationship with my coworkers, shared special events at and after work, nice family enviornment. The hardest part of the job was was not the job but the long commute an hour and a half coming and going. the most enjoyable – more... part of my job was the interaction between employees and coworkers.... – less
