I would not recommend employment with Master Brand Cabinets. There is no company loyalty, no chance for advancement and very poor compensation.
Supervisor - Shipping (Former Employee), Martinsville, VA –
Pros: it's a job.
Cons: point system, long hours, no advancement, "good ole boy" system of management.
A typical day at work consisted of hard work and long hours with no recognition and unobtainable expectations from management. I hope that the change in management has improved the Martinsville Plant. If not I would highly discourage anyone from seeking employment there.

The hourly pay rate is better compared to other production facilities. Benefits package is good. Management doesn't know how to deal with problems and how to make employees feel valued.

I have never been treated so poorly as this company has. They lied to me. They made up reasons to fire me. Management sucked. Major hen house. All systems dis functional.

It's a great place and good with getting to know other jobs with in the plant.

Pros: good money and great people to work with
Cons: the fact you cant, bid on a job after getting wrote up
They our very good about training there employers and helping them succeed with what they want out of there jobs.

Cons: not enough training
they gave me only two weeks of training then fired me becuase i was not quick enough , and on the paper work said I had 90 days of training . They also are not VA friendly place
