Stain Inspector (Former Employee), Jasper, Indiana – May 7, 2013
A typical day at work in the position I worked in was fast-paced and steady. I would check the components of a cabinet as they came down the line on hooks for defects and correct color. The management at this workplace was not the greatest, but some of my coworkers were very helpful and easy to work with. The hardest part of the job was knowing what – more... was a defect on the parts and what was not acceptable for the part to be passed on to the next staging area. The most enjoyable part of the job was the fact that it was fast paced. – less

corp staff (Former Employee), Indiana – April 4, 2013
Pros: people
Cons: incentives, work-life balance
Great people. Decent culture. Politics... well they are politics. The issue is that they don't reward individual effort as they preach. Giving your job your all and putting in 70hrs/wk may get you liked by management and a pat on the back, but that's just about it.

At masterbrand I prepared the wood by cutting propper potions in the correct measurement for the production lines.I was soo good that I had the opportunity to train all new saw men . Everyone that I trained asked me how do I do it I just think that every challenge is a mind over matter thing . I had the worst saw in the warehouse with no protection – more... from the dust blowing in my face all day . The team overall at this work site was impatient and unconsiderably unsafe . I started having health issues and management showed me no compassion so I resined a little after a year. – less

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at MasterBrand. This is a company that values safety and promotes a dedicated safety culture with very minimal workplace injuries. This can be attributed to the focus of the fine team that was in place. Its unfortunate that our plant shut down as I feel as though we were on the path to great things in our future. I will – more... always remember all of the warm and happy memories that we all had here at MasterBrand. – less
