Director (Former Employee) –  USOctober 16, 2017
MC is a company that is surfing (for now) on the Fintech wave but in reality suffers from a poor leadership with no strategic vision, complete incapacity to truly innovate, with a clear lack of ownership, failing to execute outside of its traditional core business Credit card business. MC would like to believe it is a Technology Company but managed by ex bankers, will certainly face difficult time from Central Banks that have growing aspiration to develop real time payment infrastructure as well as from other fintech companies that are faster, truly innovative and potentially disruptive.

Great company, very innovative, nice people and a great campus. Location is rural and not a great fit for people who commute in from Manhattan or Long Island.

Good pay, lack of advancement
N/A (Former Employee) –  Miami, FLSeptember 5, 2017
CEO messages don't trickle down, culture has changed dramatically over the years and not for the better. Company culture now curt-throat, no advancement, most are stuck and stay due to salary. The Human resource not valued.
Pros
Salary
Cons
lack of career advancement

Director Corporate Security (Former Employee) –  Purchase, NYAugust 22, 2017
As Director of Corporate Security I was responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the employees and company assets. I didn't have a typical work day due to unexpected occurrences such as emergencies and work place incidents. I had to multitask on a daily basis. In addition to security related responsibilities I handled a variety of administrative tasks.

During the later years of my employment the workplace culture focused more on millennials.
Pros
Company sponsored events for employees.
Cons
Not enough support staff.

Great culture, great people - overall, an amazing experience! Only drawback would be the lower number of return offers given to interns compared to other firms in the industry.

I usually start my work early at 8:30 am, plan my day and make sure that the most urgent work gets done first. Working for Mastercard is that we the employees bring our hearts and mind to work. I always strive to do the best that I can to make this company continue to be a leader in the payments industry..
