Masterpiece Caterers is a New York based catering company specializing in doing large scale event catering and production. Masterpiece Caterers features traditional American cuisine with a modern twist. Our mission is "Mastering the Art of Fine Cuisine" for every event small and large. Masterpiece is based out of the historic India House in the Financial District where they are the exclusive caterer for the iconic venue. They also provide corporate catering at nearby 55 Water Street building and also manage events at other NYC Locations.
As Operations Manager you will report to the Director of Operations and have responsibility for:
-Directing and organizing the daily activities of banquets and the dining room
-Timeliness and efficient service of all banquet functions
-Preparing weekly forecast of revenues, labor cost and expenses to ensure financial goals are met
-Training and development of banquet associates
-Providing a a positive and memorable experience for all our guests
-Ensure company standards and service levels and ensuring that correct and consistent service techniques are demonstrated by all associates at all times
-Preparing schedules which will allow for the appropriate service levels while controlling expenses in line with budget.
-Requires 2 to 4 years experience with banquet (Food & Beverage operations and staff supervision.
-Demonstrates team management, delegation, issue resolution, coaching skills and ability to motivate others and act as a change agent.
-Demonstrates organization and multi-project time/issue management.
-Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with individuals.
-Must be able to positively, as well as professionally engage and interact with co-workers.
-Ability to process information i.e. Banquet Event Orders.
-Maintain an positive and professional attitude.
-Ability to remain patient, calm and composed in all situations.
Salary Range: $50k-60k
